Companies & people use digital media for various purposes including information source, entertainment, games, business and more, Digital media is important because it enables businesses, consumers and digital media professionals to connect and communicate with audiences from anywhere. It also reduces the need for print material, which may promote eco-friendly practices.

What are the types o digital media?

The main forms into which digital data can be grouped are text, audio, graphics, animation and video. These are known as the basic digital media types, Earned media, Owned media and Paid media  are the 3 types of digital media, Examples of digital media include software, digital images, digital video, video games, web pages and websites, social media, digital data and databases, digital audio such as MP3, electronic documents and electronic books.

What are the impacts of digital media?

On the negative side are a range of social impacts which are internet addiction, cyberbullying, privacy risks, and cyber crime, on the positive side digital media provides access to a vast range of information and resources, which is great for kids who are curious and eager to learn, digital media helps kids learn about science, history, and other subjects in a more interactive and immersive way.

However, social media use can also negatively affect teens, distracting them, disrupting their sleep, and exposing them to bullying, rumor spreading, unrealistic views of other people's lives and peer pressure. The risks might be related to how much social media teens use.

 Teens get hooked for follower, like, subcribers, how many view they have. They post video to get famous and earn money and see how many comments they got likes, view and others.

Digital Media is a way to communicate with others from long dispenses by electronic devices . They make positive impacts in our digital world. But they also and might give out negative impacts in our mental health. Digital medias are types of programs and channel. Digital media is also very big part in our life.

Why digital media is extremely popular amongst teens and adults?

Digital media has made it possible for people to connect with each other from all over the world. We can now communicate with each other instantly, which has made it easier for us to build relationships and interact with people we would never have met otherwise.

What hooks them digital media?

They get hooked probably for getting followers, likes , subscribers ,notifications and comments to be famous.

Does it add any value in teen's and adults life?

 Platforms such as TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat can be lifesavers for teens who feel isolated or marginalized. In addition, social media helped teens feel more connected and not as lonely during the pandemic.

Impact on teen's 

Teenagers on social media spend their time on seeing the lives and images of their peers. This leads to constant comparisons, which can damage self-esteem and body image, exacerbating depression and anxiety among adolescents.

Impact on adults
Using social media often increases FOMO and feelings of inadequacy, dissatisfaction, and isolation. These feelings affect your mood and worsen symptoms negatively with anxiety, and stress.

The impact of social media on youth can also be significantly detrimental to mental health.   Social media and teens are closely linked. Overuse of the apps exposes teens to cyberbullying, body image issues, and tech addiction, and results in less time spent doing healthy, real-world activities. While the majority of parents believe they know what their child is posting on social media, according to a research a survey of teens found that 70percent of them are hiding their online behavior from their parents. It can make waste of time and most importantly can be a waste of future.

Digital media is a synonym of online media or internet media or web media or new media or social media. The digital media influences masses in both positive ways as well as negative ways on issues relating to society, economy, polity, education, religion, culture, and spiritualism.

         Digital technologies like social media have allowed us to communicate and share in  real time around the globe and across traditional cultural boundaries. The digital divide, however, may in fact create an even greater separation between cultures that are                                             connected from those that are not.
